Advanced Commands Advanced dog obedience training is about fine tuning existing obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, come, heel, stand, leave it, go to place, settle, go to place and settle, and speak. Fine tuning is accomplished by adding length of time expected for each command, the distance from which your dog will respond, and the amount of distractions your dog will put up ignore to continue a command. The goal of advanced obedience is that you have a dog that will do what you ask him the first time, every time and will not break command without your permission. Advanced obedience often also adds new additions to existing commands such as heeling in reverse (heeling while walking backwards), comes ending with circling behind you into a heel or sit, downs from ½ a mile away, or consistent come from any location with distractions such as barking dogs or balls bouncing around him. By using an e-collar, we can accomplish these tasks as well as teaching your dog to do all of these commands on or off leash. What an amazing feeling it is when you can take your dog anywhere and know that she is trustworthy and able to be off leash AND she will listen to you. PET ATHLETIC CLUB DOG TRAINING 818 REEDY ST.
